First of all regarding with a blog post from Princ3ofPerlu or even my own blog Nadzrul’s Random. We have this way of ‘objecting’ an idea; that’s what blogging is all about, you don’t simply direct an objection to a person but let the person think, rethink, or think harder about certain situation that might have caused a blog post to be written on the first place. I realize my blog post entitled ‘How to Fail SPM’ may have offended some Malaysian students and therefore I’d like to sincerely apologize to them. It is my way of ‘protesting’ the current situation of SPM, if you don’t agree with the idea feel free to post some critics to the post.  Remember, my point of view is not important – this is what I am – this is what I do – I am a reviewer.

What’s more important is YOU. I’m pretty sure the road you are taking is not as ‘cloudy’ as mine.

To me, life is about being able to innovate. It has nothing to do with cash, not even close to what I call business. I am an innovative person, and following an already written-path doesn’t allow me to do that. Consequently, I’m taking my own path that I intend to innovate, even if it turns bad in the end – at least I will not die in vain.

Following this creative path, it has upset certain group of people. Here comes my sincerely personalize apology to:

1. My Aunt – The facebook photo tag was very inappropriate. Sorry, my bad…
2. SPM people – You gotta love SPM, it’s great stuff! I’m sorry for the offensive post
3. Azwan – Sorry I broke your laptop, it was an accident.
4. Princ3ofPerlu readers – If I ever made some offensive comments they weren’t meant to hurt anyone. If I did, I’m totally sorry. (Super-Sorry like Miley Cyrus used to say)
5. To the McDonald’s person – I’m sorry I left my bag, I didn’t mean to leave it in the cleaning zone
6. Wanie – I don’t really know if I ever done anything wrong. However, If I did I hope you accept this sincere apology.
7. JinxCrew – Though that we’ve never dominated any market yet, I hope that we can stay focus on what’s ahead us. What’s important is not ‘making money’ but the joyment of innovation; the new forms of idea that we will share with billions of people.
8. Veronica Belmont – I’m sorry I accused you of jailbreaking your iPhone.
9. Khairul – I’m sorry I stole the ‘Heatsink Fan’ from your computer. Look at the bright side, your PC is way HOTTER now.

This is due to the falling prices of the digital signage hardware, as this is based around either a plasma television or an LCD TV, but in the past few years as the technology has advanced in the display market the costs have come down dramatically. You can now get LCD displays from 19″ to 108″.

So the first things you need to think about for setting up a digital signage solution:

• Decide what size of display will be used
• Location, will it be indoors or outdoors?
• Create the media content

What size of display?

Ok, so let’s take the first part, you need a screen that will capture the attention of potential buyers, to get your message across.  So normally anything from a 32″ to 70″ display are used in shopping malls, with 19″ to 32″ being used within the actual stores or at point of sale.  Then the choice is either LCD or plasma display, now the old problems of the plasma picture burn are very few and far between. The choice comes down to personal preference.

Secondly, the location.

There are three very different types of digital signage, firstly, there is indoor digital signage, this is shopping malls and even the local stores have digital signage solutions in their building, so they are protected from the weather and possible vandalism. Outdoor digital signage is were digital signage is placed outdoors and normally in un-manned areas, such as train stations, subways and the likes, so vandalism is a possibility. The third option is mobile digital signage, used in transportation, this is becoming very popular.

Now the issue with indoor dynamic advertising, is that the sign will normally be switched off at night, due to the store being closed and this reduces the amount of people you can target, were as an outdoor sign, it’s the 24 hour salesman you always wanted. The indoor sign will be cheaper to set up, however outdoor signs have been proven to have a better return on investment.

Now the problem with putting a digital sign outdoors, is that the electronics used will be electronics that have been designed for the domestic market and will fail when used outdoors in extreme temperatures. Now the solution is to either purchase a very expensive waterproof TV or to put all the electronics into either an outdoor plasma enclosure or LCD enclosure. These protective cases offer vandal proof and weather proof protection to everything inside.

Media Creation.

This is necessary and is the actual content you use for the advert, it could be just images of your product with an audio track played behind it, or it could be a complete add that splits the entire screen into various sectors, all displaying different content at the same time. You can find free digital media software free, by searching Google. Then all you have to do is add the content using drag and drop and the “new software” and upload it to the media player used in the digital signage system.

In fact, I’m having the same problem. I myself worry too much about time; there hasn’t been a day that I never actually thinking about the future of NadzrulSystem and of course my own future as a person. I’m a very independent person which worries me. I have this way of not relying on the government. Why? Because I believe the government is spending too much time doing nothing. Now it is up to us to fulfill our own needs and wants. I work with my crew, I’m the CEO and I’m the staff; though Jinxbox ENT and NadzrulSystem are still small and unrecognized we will do what it takes to go further and enlarge these amazing companies. There is one simple factor keeping us from moving forward; that is the disease of ‘counting the days’.

That is the biggest mistake, ‘counting the days’. We delay our mission by counting the days. We worry too much about the due date more than we care about continuing the mission.

April 2009 is going to be a little interesting for nadzrulDOTcom. A new challenge, and an objective for April 2009 is to make the days count. The objective is to post more than 50 unique articles no later than April 30th, which means by April 30th NDC will have the addition of 50 new and unique posts.

I’ll be updating this post, whether if we succesfully complete or fail the objective. April 2009, a new challenge for nadzrulDOTcom.

There was a time when people appreciate the ‘Art’ of Magic & Illusion. …there was a time

I’m disappointed with the people who thought themselves as ‘wiser-people’ (secret-revelers) who destroyed the art that has always been there in the entertainment business for centuries.

I think this might be the end of ‘magic‘ in the entertainment business, since nobody is doing anything about it. Take a look at Penguin Magic, there’s barely anything new. Magicians are having a hard time developing new illusions when the old ones are being revealed freely. What’s worse is that there is no way for these hard working people to copyright their artworks since you can’t copyright a magic trick. ‘Magic & Illusions’ is undoubtedly having a hard time in the business industry.

I really hope that people will understand that there are certain things that are not meant to be shared. To me, magic is an art just like the other kinds of arts. Leonardo Da Vinci never reveals anything about Monalisa, how & why did he draw her.
